Windy Santa
~ ~ ~

Santa is shining his lantern into the night trying to find his way to your house. The wind is howling and his scarf and cloak are blowing in the wind. He is walking with his staff and keeping a steady pace.

This Rug Hooked Santa doll is based from a painted Santa by Pipka Ulvilden. When I first saw this Santa I knew I wanted to create it in the fiber art of rug hooking.

This wonderful One of a Kind Rug Hooked Santa Doll stands almost 15" tall and is 8" wide at the widest point. He is hooked using wool strips that are One Eighth inch wide. This #6 cut of wool has given me the wonderful array of color in this Santa. All the wool used is quality 100% wool much of it hand dyed by me. Windy Santa is hooked in rich earth tone reds and greens in his toy sack. The snow at his feet is wonderful wool from Rebbeca Erb of the wool studio. This wool makes a great base color for this santa. Windy Santa's beard and mustache are hooked with mohair. Did you notice the handle bars of his mustache? I have weighted the bottom of this santa so it can stand well on it's own.

Large Rug Hooked Bee Skep

This unique Bee Skep is a three dimensional (3-d rug) hooked creation. It is an original design.

This Bee Skep is hand hooked with 100% wool strips all in fun earth tones. Many different tweed and plaid wools were used as well as hand dyed wool. The bees are hooked taller then the rest of the Bee Skep to give it even more dimension. The wings are hooked with real mohair and they are even longer then the bee bodies. Did you notice the antenna's? You will love this Rug Hooked Bee Skep created with traditional rug hooking but with a fun twist. This Bee Skep is 8" tall by 6" wide with a circumference of 21". The Bee Skep is partially rag stuffed giving it a great weight.

Rug Hooked Little Red Riding Hood Purse
~ ~ ~

The Big Bad Wolf is peeking around the tree stalking poor Little Red Riding Hood. She has been to grandma's house and is on her way down the path that leads to the forest. She has her basket in hand with her red and white cloth covering laid over it.

What a unique one of a kind Hand Hooked Purse. This would look loving in any decor. You could also use this for a light duty purse.

The front of this purse is hand hooked with hand dyed wool strips in gorgeous colors. One Eighth inch wool strips have given great detail to this Little Red Riding Hood purse.

A pretty vintage button and a thick hemp thread tie close the top of the purse. The rest of the purse is also made from wool fabric. The handle is braided wool strips. They are sewn together at the top to help support the weight of the purse when something is in it.

The size of this purse is 11" tall by 9" wide. The handle is 13" long from the top of the purse to the top of the handle. There is black zig zag stitching around the top of the wool fabric purse. An inside wool lining backs the rug hooked part of the purse. It is the same wool fabric that is on the back. Shown in my last photo. The purse is about 1 1/4" thick.

Rughooked Snowman Candy Container

This Snowman Head is all hand hooked with wool strips and in the center is an area to place some wrapped candy. The Top Hat is a wonderful creation and adds a great finishing touch to this wonderful Snowman. Just look at his rosy cheeks and coal mouth. The big ole carrot nose just makes you smile. The Top Hat is a work of art. The wonderful tweed wool colors are perfect for this hat. The greenery and pine come make the hat very festive. This Snowman is 10" tall by 6" wide including the hat. The Snowman is 20" around the widest point. This is a perfect size. Dimenisional Rug hooking is a fun art form and I had a great time creating this for you.

Large Rug Hooked Pineapple

Finally finished this new 3-D dimensional design. Love how this Pineapple turned out. It is truly gorgeous and realistic. The pineapple is made from 100% wool and is hand hooked. The green and gold tone wool's are hand dyed by me. The stem is made from fabric. This Rug Hooked Pineapple is about 17" tall and 6" wide. Accented with Red Pip Berries. Thomas Turkey

Isn't Thomas Turkey a riot? He is a wonderful size doll at about 20" tall. Look at his braided wool feet and his funky wings. Thomas Turkey is a stuffed rug hooked doll and thus three dimensional. All hooking is done with wool strips and he is backed with wool felt. The wools choosen are all in a primitive tone of colors. His eyes are vintage black buttons. Rug Hooked Teddy Bear

We have been having a lot of bear visitors this summer to our Colorado ranch. So I just had to make a Rug Hooked Teddy Bear. He is so adorable. I had so much fun designing and hooking this Bear. Indian Corn Rug Hooked Display

This is an awesome rug hooked three dimensional Indian Corn Fall display. The finished display is 19" in length and 16" at the widest point on the corn husks. Each corn is very realistic in size and shape of an Indian Corn. The corn husks are stiff and resemble real corn husks. The individual Indian Corns would look great in a cornucopia or basket. What an awesome accent piece for any time of year.
