Home in the Cascade Mountains - West of Sisters, East of Eugene, Oregon
~Tuesday, May 19~
We are camped in Oregon at our summer home, a beautiful place. The Cascade Mountains are different that those back home, heavily forested, infested with dense undergrowth. Moss and fungus grows everywhere decorating the branches and trunks of the massive trees.
We got the Hughesnet dish up and pointed through a tiny gap in the 200 plus foot trees on only the fourth try. Doesn't look so good for the Directv dish as we still have not found the satellite.
The Great Workamping MisAdventure begins! We have finished our first week as Campground Attendants working for HooDoo recreation at the South Fork Region of the McKensie River in the Willamette National Forest. We will be completing our camp here tomorrow and Thursday, as these will be our days off each week. The camp host needs to present a clean experience and that includes one's own camp. Pictures will follow soon.....

The beautiful Cascade Mountains for
The Great Workamping MisAdventure. Naked hot springs, great fishing, whining campers. Once again, working for a living.
Workampers are adventurous individuals, couples and families who have chosen a wonderful lifestyle that combines ANY kind of part-time or full-time work with RV camping. If you work as an employee, operate a business, or donate your time as a volunteer, AND you sleep in an RV (or on-site housing), you are a Workamper! Most Workampers are in their 50's and 60's, however there are many who are younger and many who are older. A little more than half of all Workampers work to supplement their retirement income, while the rest work to support a full-time, or near full-time, RV lifestyle. Most Workamper jobs are in the Outdoor Hospitality Industry (resorts, campgrounds, theme parks, state/national parks, etc.), but there are many very interesting jobs available in other areas as well. Part-time or full-time, short-term or long-term, there is something for everyone!

We had dreamed for years of Quitting Our Jobs, buy a Fifth Wheel Camper and live our lives on the road, full time RVing. We invite you to follow our adventures by viewing the Great Ongoing MisAdventure webpages. Our past wanderings are also available for your viewing pleasure by clicking on the Our MisAdventures links.

This site is hosted by Site Ground, it's fun and easy to start your own MisAdventure webpages. Just click to begin your own fun!

Lord, let us live with joy in our hearts, knowing you will grant us strength and keep us safe in our travels. Amen
